2026 Preliminary Dates of Note

  • Trade ministers from 166 WTO member countries are expected to attend the 14th WTO Ministerial (MC14), which is primarily focused on reform of the institution. WTO members involved in the Trade and Environmental Sustainability Structured Discussions (TESSD) will also report on how trade policies can support environmental objectives.

  • The annual gathering of central bankers, finance ministers, private sector leaders, and civil society will address global economic issues including finance to accelerate emissions reduction.

  • DCCW attracts advocates, investors, policy makers, and students who work to solve climate challenges as a community.

  • The conference will initiate a concrete process through which a coalition of committed countries, subnational governments, and relevant stakeholders can identify and advance enabling pathways to implement a progressive energy transition.

  • The ITF includes 69 transport ministers who are focused on transport policy including electrification, low carbon fuels, and innovation. The 2026 Summit will concentrate on financing resilient transport.

  • SB 64 is the mid-year negotiating forum of the UNFCCC Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice and the Subsidiary Body for Implementation. SB64 focuses on the technical aspects of implementation of the Paris Agreement.

  • The Nairobi Summit will gather governments, industry leaders, investors, development partners, and civil society to accelerate progress away from charcoal and wood burning cooking towards universal access to modern cooking solutions. This will improve air-quality in homes, decrease deforestation, and help protect biodiversity.

  • Climate Week NYC works to foster collaborative and innovative environmental action.

  • COP31 will take place under the Presidencies of Türkiye and Australia. This joint effort, featuring Türkiye as the host and Australia as the President of Negotiations, aims to deliver ambitious, action-oriented, and transparent outcomes, bridging the Mediterranean and Pacific regions to accelerate global climate goals.
